When and why did you start creating food art?

In 2018 I started with some smaller creations just for fun. The kids really love it and I do as well.

Why do you think creating food art is a way to get picky eaters and kids to eat healthy?

My kids always ate fruits and veggies but the plates made it more fun for them. They also loved to share them with their friends and we made some for them as well. Kids get more excited when food looks fun, and like that they might try different food which they normally wouldn’t want to eat.

Any beginners advice you’d give to a mom who would like to start small food arts for her kids?

Just start with simple figures, animals… kids love it.

What’s your favorite part of creating food art?

My favorite part is when the idea that I had in my head really comes to life in the plate. The expression of the animal or the creature is key.

Which creations have been your favorite so far?

My animals are really my favourites, I can be the most creative with those.
